Beyonce Knowles has expressed sympathy Whitney Houston, saying she can't bear to talk about the downfall of the troubled superstar.

The Irreplaceable star insists Houston shouldn't be criticised for her battles with drug addiction and the breakdown of her marriage to Bobby Brown because she's had to cope with huge demands during her 20-year career in the music business.

She says, "I once queued for Whitney's autograph when I was a kid. I had her photograph pinned up inside my wall and thought she was the very best around. I don't want to talk about what's happened to her since.

"I think it's very easy to get yourself into trouble. We live an unrealistic life in a crazy world. The demands are huge and the fallout can be equally big. You can get swept along by events. It is very hard for a woman in the music business to maintain a long term career. There are demands you cannot even begin to imagine."

Mike Tyson was arrested in Scottsdale, Arizona early Friday morning, for driving under the influence and possession of cocaine.

Iron Mike's car reportedly was stopped after it almost crashed into a sheriff's vehicle while leaving a nightclub. around 1:45 a.m.

Scottsdale Police Sgt. Larry Hall says police found "just a usable quantity" of cocaine in the vehicle and that Tyson was "very cooperative" and a "perfect gentleman" as he was being taken into custody. Halled added that Tyson " showed signs of impairment, and voluntarily submitted to field sobriety tests."

Harlem bids a loving goodbye to the Godfather of soul. A sea of fans sang in the streets as they waited to pay their respects at the Apollo theater.

His casket left a Georgia funeral parlor Wednesday for an all-night drive to New York. It arrived at Sharpton's Harlem headquarters just before noon Thursday, and was quickly transferred to the carriage for a 20-block procession to the theater.

Sharpton accompanied the body from Georgia and walked behind the carriage Thursday. He stood at Brown's side for hours during the viewing.

P Diddy has issued an apology to an animal rights group following a mix-up with fake and real fur. The rapper's clothing range, Sean John, was recently found to have used raccoon dog fur in the hood of its jackets.

While Dreamgirls is getting rave reviews, Home of the Brave, starring Samuel Jackson and Curtis "50 Cents" Jackson is not getting applauds from movie critics. Curtis' role may be short lived if this movie does bomb.

HOME OF THE BRAVE follows four returning soldiers as they survive the ravages of war in a distant land and then try to come home to continue their lives. Samuel L. Jackson portrays a medical Captain, a surgeon who is tormented by lost lives he could not save in war and returns home not as the doctor he once was.

"The Humane Society of the United States said a $237.99 Sean John Hooded Snorkel Jacket for sale on Macy's Web site was described as having an "imitation rabbit fur collar."
But the group said when it purchased the coat, the label read "Made in China" and "genuine raccoon fur." The group said it is testing the fur to see if it is from a raccoon dog, a type of dog raised in China whose fur resembles that of a raccoon."

In case you were on another planet. The Denver Nuggets and NY Knicks literally went to blows on Saturday. However, it wasn't the fight that had me laughing. It was Carmelo Anthony, the dude decides to do a Carl Lewis and run for the bench. Melo if you are going to sucker punch someone stand there like a man.

The NBA, which has been trying to clean up its image, did not find any of this to be amusing. As a result the landed the following punishment: Carmelo Anthony is suspended 15 games, Nate Robinson and J.R. Smith got 10 each and both clubs were fined $500,000.

Am I the only who is heated that the Golden Globes snubbed the Wire. I hard press to find anyone who has seen the show and does not think this the best television drama on TV. This has to be one of thee best all around cast and writers on television. Who submits these Golden Globe votes? Honestly, Heroes, LOST and Big Love get in above the Wire. Someone get the Avon and Barksdale boys on the phone.

ABC has decided to cancel" Day Break", which stars Taye Diggs from its programming schedule effective immediately.

The move does not come as a total shock to most since "Day Break" was not a ratings hit among adults 18-49. The show was only able to pull a measly 1.4 rating during its Wednesday timeslot. The network is contemplating streaming the seven remaining episodes on ABC.com

Taye, we want to give you some advice. Fire your agent effective immediately! You are too good of an actor to have agreed to sign on to starring in this garbage of a show.

A panel of judges has denied Damon Dash's bid to move the pending sex-assault case against him to Brazil.

Attorneys for the allegeded victim provided the following comment. "I'm sure he'd love to bury this case in some little outpost down there, but now he'll have to deal with this in the New York courts," said Raoul Felder, the lawyer for the plaintiff, Kristie Thompson.

Richie Has Prior DUI -- Mandatory Jail on the Line

"Nicole Richie could be adding stripes to her wardrobe in the very near future.TMZ has found court documents which reveal that Richie pled no contest four years ago to driving under the influence. Under California law, if Richie is convicted of DUI as a result of Monday's arrest, the judge must impose a jail sentence.The law requires a mandatory sentence of five consecutive days in county jail as well as a one year license suspension for anyone twice-convicted of DUI. In addition, Richie would be ordered to attend an alcohol education program for a year-and-a-half, even if the second conviction is not alcohol-related. As TMZ first reported, Richie admitted to CHP officers that she had taken Vicodin and smoked pot before driving the wrong way on a Burbank freeway. A field sobriety test revealed she was not under the influence of alcohol."

NEW YORK: Congratulations, Oprah, you have been selected by Kitty Kelley as the subject of her next tell-all, unauthorized biography.
"Oprah Winfrey has fascinated me for many years — as a woman, she has wielded an unprecedented amount of influence over the American culture and psyche," Kelley said in a statement issued Wednesday by the Crown Publishing Group, an imprint of Random House, Inc.
The book does not yet have a title and a publication date has not been set. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Kelley, whose many best sellers include biographies of Frank Sinatra, Nancy Reagan and the Bush family, has a long history of writing books as loathed by their subjects, and disputed by critics, as they are fascinating to readers.
Among her more notorious allegations: that Sinatra and Reagan may have had an affair while she was first lady, and that George W. Bush snorted cocaine at Camp David when his father was president.
